Korean Learn (Level 2 part 5) [days]

now lets learn about days name on a week in korean

we was learn it before but lets learn it again with additional explaination ^_^

here is the name of days
Monday = 월요일 (woryoil)
Tuesday = 화요일 (hwayoil)
Wednesday = 소요일 (suyoil)
Thursday = 목요일 (mogyoil)
Friday = 금요일 (geumyoil)
Saturday = 토요일 (toyoil)
Sunday = 일요일 (iryoil)

if you notice that only the first letter are change but not with the 요일 (yoil) part.

here is the first letter that changed ^_^ 월 화 수 목 금 토 일 (wol hwa su mog geum to il)

now lets see those first letter has another means in chinese language lets see
월 (wol) = the moon
화 (hwa) = fire
수 (su) = water
목 (mog) = tree
금 (geum) = gold, iron
토 (to) = earth, soil, ground
일 (il) = the sun

so you can remember the name of day from another mean example 일 (il) mean the sun it could be sunday 일요일 (iryoil)

some of the days name are related to the name of planets in our solar system ^_^

화요일 (hwayoil) = tuesday -> 화 성 (hwa seong) = Mars
수요일 (suyoil) = wednesday -> 수 성 (su seong) = mercury
목요일 (mogyoil) = thursday -> 목 성 (meok seong) = Jupiter
금요일 (geumyoil) = friday -> 금 성 (geum seong) = Venus
토요일 (toyoil) = saturday -> 토 성 (to seong) = Saturn

sample sentence
저는 금요일마다 밤새 마셔요 (jeoneun geumyoilmada bamsae masyeoyo) = I drink all night long every friday

토요일에는 소풍을 갈 고예요 (toyoireneun sopungeul gal goyeyo) = Im going to go on picnic on saturday

hm more easy to remember that the last way learning korean names of the day ne??
