Korean Learn (Level 2 part 17) [can do something]

we wanna learn to say can do something and can not do something

the basic structure for can do something is

- (으)ㄹ 수 이다 [- (eu)l su itda]

example
보다 (boda) = to see
보 + ㄹ 수 있다 = 볼 수 있다 (bol su itda) = can see
먹다 (meokda) = to eat
먹 + 을 수 있다 = 먹을 수 있다 (meogeul su itda) = can eat

and the basic structure for say can not do something is
- (으)ㄹ 수 없다 [- (eu)l su eopda]

example
자다 (jada) = to sleep
자 + ㄹ 수 없다 = 잘 수 없다 (jal su eopda) = can not sleep
잡다 (japda) = to catch
잡 + 을 수 없다 = 잡을 수 없다 (jabeul su eopda) = can not catch

another word to say -(으)ㄹ 수 없다 [-(eu)l su eopda] is using the word 못 (mot) before a verb and this way is the most commonly way to say can not do something ^_^

example
자다 (jada) = to sleep
못 자다 (mot jada) = can not sleep

sample sentences
운전 할 수 있어요? (unjeon hal su isseoyo?) = can u drive?? (literaly : can u do driving)

이거 읽을 수 있어요? (igeo ilgeul su isseoyo?) = can u read this?

못 읽어요 (mot ilgeoyo) = I can not read it

지금 못 만나요 (jigeum mot mannayo) = I can not meet u now
