we wanna learn about monthyes the name of month in korean

remember the sino korean numbers chingu???

ne, we need to remember the sino korean numbers. we need it for the month name...


how to say month name in korean???
it easy just add 월 (wol) after the number 1-12 which means month

here is the month name
january = 1 월 (irwol)
february = 2 월 (iwol)
march = 3 월 (samwol)
april = 4 월 (sawol)
may = 5 월 (owol)
june = 6 월 (yuwol) *not ryukwol or yukwol
july = 7 월 (chirwol)
august = 8 월 (parwol)
september = 9 월 (guwol)
october = 10 월 (siwol) *not sipwol
november = 11 월 (sibirwol)
december = 12 월 (sibiwol)

which month? = 몇 월? (myeot wol? or myeodwol?)

next is the days in a month ^_^ so that we can say the date ^_^

for telling the days are quite easy to just add 일 (il) after the number. remember still sino korean number that used ^^

here is some example1 일, 2 일, 3 일, ...., 29 일, 30 일, 31 일

and what date? = 며칠 (myeochil)

what month and what date = 몇 월 며칠 (myeodwol myeolchil)

example
what date is it? = 몇월 며칠이에요? (myeodwol myeochilieyo?)

what date is today? = 오늘 몇월 며칠이에요? (oneul myeodwol myeochilieyo?)

next example

what date your birthday? = 생일이 몇 월 며칠이에요? (saengiri myeodwol myeochilieyo?)

or if you mentioning a specific day you can use 언제 (eonje) which means when

생일이 언제예요? (saengiri eonjeyeyo?) = when is ur birthday?
