Korean Learn (Level 2 part 21) [more .... than]

we wanna learn How to say “more” in Korean

In Korean, the word for “more” is 더 [deo]. In English relatively short words change their forms instead of having the word “more” in front of them, like shorter, hotter, faster, but in Korean all the words just have this word 더 attached before them.

Example:

빠르다 (ppareuda) = to be fast더 빠르다 (deo ppareuda) = to be faster
비싸다 (pissada) = to be expensive더 비싸다 (deo pissada) = to be more expensive

Korean Learn (Level 2 part 20) [have to do...]

we are going to take a look at how to say that you “have to” or “should” do something in Korean.

The construction itself is quite simple to understand. You take the verb stem of a verb and add the part (a verb ending) that makes the sentences take the meaning of “have to” or “should”.

to have to, should, must= verb stem + -아/어/여 (-a/eo/yeo) + -야 되다/하다 (-ya dwida/hada)

Examples:
자다 [ja-da] = to sleep

Korean Learn (Level 2 part 19) [verb change into noun]

we wanna learn the other way to change an action verb into a noun.

at part 14 we learn this with add -기 (gi) and add 하다 (hada)

now we use -는 것 (-neun geot) --> 것 (geot) means "a thing" or "an object" or "stuff" but when used like this it means "a fact or an act"

the structure is-verb stem + -는 것 (neun got)

Korean Learn (Level 2 part 18) [good at / bad at]

we learned how to say that you “can” and “cannot” do something. Now we wanna learn to say that you are “good at” or “bad at” doing something

The basic construction for saying “to do something” is

[object] + -을/를 [eul/reul] (= object marker) + 하다 [hada] (= to do), and to this, you add 잘 [jal] or 못 [mot].

~을/를 잘 하다 (~eul/reul jal hada) = to be good at ~ (lit. to do ~ well)

~을/를 못 하다 (~eul/reul mot hada) = to be poor at ~ (lit. to do ~ poorly)

Examples
노래 [no-rae] = singing, song

Korean Learn (Level 2 part 17) [can do something]

we wanna learn to say can do something and can not do something

the basic structure for can do something is

- (으)ㄹ 수 이다 [- (eu)l su itda]

example
보다 (boda) = to see
보 + ㄹ 수 있다 = 볼 수 있다 (bol su itda) = can see

Korean Learn (Level 2 part 15) [only]

In this part, we are going to learn how to say “only” in Korean.

There are a few different ways to say “only” in Korean, but the most basic way of saying it is adding -만 [-man] after a noun, a pronoun or the noun form (-기) of a verb.

1. Adding -만 after nouns and pronouns
이것 + 만 = 이것만 [i-geot-man] = only this
ex) 이것만 살 거예요. [i-geot-man sal geo-ye-yo] = I will only buy this.

저 + 만 = 저만 [jeo-man] = me only, I only

물도 주세요. [mul-do ju-se-yo.] = Give me water, too, please.

내일 갈 거예요. [nae-il gal geo-ye-yo.] = I will go tomorrow.
