we hae learn it before hope that its ok we learn it again ^_^
hm there are cases where Sino Korean numbers are used, cases where native korean number are used, and also they used together
for example:
when you tell the time u have to use native number to say the hour and sino number for say the minutes
when usay your age in eeryday conversation u can used native number but in formal like in court or formal report u must use sino number
when you counting years you can use either native number or sino numbers
1 하나 (hana)
2 둘 (dul)
3 셋 (set)
4 넷 (net)
5 다섯 (daseot)
6 여섯 (yeoseot)
7 일곱 (ilgop)
8 여덟 (yeodeol)
9 아홉 (ahop)
10 열 (yeol)
11 until 19 its easy just put the number 10 and add anpther number after it (same rule as sino number)
example
11 열하나 (yeol hana)
19 열아홉 (yeol ahop)
but for 20 you can not say 둘열 (dulyeol)
it has own name
20 스물 (seumul)
30 서른 (seoreun)
40 마흔 (maheun)
50 쉰 (swin)
60 예순 (yesun)
70 일흔 (ireun)
80 여든 (yeodeun)
90 아흔 (aheun)
and number between it 21, 29, 35, etc have the same rule as 11
1-99 the usage of native number ar very different from sino number but for biger unit 100, 1000 etc we use sino number only
if u wanna use both u can used it and here is the example
101 = 백하나 (baek hana)
205 = 이백다섯 (ibaek daseot)
lets talk about age, there are two ways of saying age. but here lets look the more ordinary and everyday use.
u just say the native korean number and add the 살 (sal) after it but the number 1,2,3,4 and 20 change form before a noun
1 하나 (hana) -> 한 살 (han sal)
2 둘 (dul) -> 두 살 (du sal)
3 셋 (set) -> 세 살 (se sal)
4 넷 (net) -> 네 살 (ne sal)
20 스물 (seumul) -> 스무 살 (seumu sal)
21 스물하나 (seumulhana) -> 스물한 살 (seumulhan sal) than if u wanna say im 20 years old you just add 이에요 after the age
example
I am 20 year old = 스무 살 이에요 (seumusal ieyo) now how old are you??
