Korean Learn (Level 1 part 15) [Sino Korean Number]

we wanna learn about number ^_^ we have learn it before but ill repeat it now ^_^ is that OK???

Sino Korean number its based on chinese number. korean used 2 systems of numbers. the other one is native korean number but now we wanna learn sino korean number ^_^

1 일 (il)
2 이 (i)
3 삼 (sam)
4 사 (sa)
5 오 (o)

6 륙 (ryuk) or 육 (yuk)
7 칠 (chil)
8 팔 (phal)
9 구 (gu)
10 십 (sip)

there is a myth at korean that numbet 4 or 사 (sa) is a bad number or un lucky cuz its same character of chinese which mean "death" so that sometime in a building there is no 4th floor

and when you wanna say 11 its easy just say 10 + 1 or when you wanna say 33 you can say 3 + 10 + 3 so how u say 11 and 33?

100 백 [baek]
1,000 천 [cheon]

the same rule are here for 200 you can say 2 + 100 Can you guess how to say 312 in Korean?

Yes, you are right. THREE + HUNDRED + TEN + TWO 삼 + 백 + 십 + 이 [sam-baek-sip-i] = 312

Some more examples
1,234 = 1,000 (천) + 2 (이) + 100 (백) + 3 (삼) + 10 (십) + 4 (사)
512 = 5 (오) + 100 (백) + 10 (십) + 2 (이)

Note that for 1,000, 100, and 10, you don’t have to say one (일) + thousand (천), 일백, or 일십.

and zero 0 is 공 (gong)

hm finish for part 15 see you at part 16 chingu.... now could you tell me your adress or everything which has number inside???
