었어요 (eosseoyo)
였어요 (yeosseoyo)
and the rule are same with present tense
verb stems ending with ㅗ (o) or ㅏ (a) followed by 았어요 (asseoyo)
verb stem ending with vowel other than ㅗ (o) orㅏ (a) followed by 었어요 (eosseoyo)
and our special stem 하 (ha) ys followed by 였어요 (yeosseoyo)
example
사다 (sada) -> 사 (sa) -> 사 (sa) + 았어요 (asseoyo) = 샀어요 (sasseoyo)
오다 (oda) -> 오 (o) -> 오 (o) + 았어요 (asseoyo) = 왔어요 (wasseoyo)
적다 (jeokda) -> 적 (jeok) -> 적 (jeok) + 었어요 (eosseoyo) = 적었어요 (jeogeosseoyo)
하다 (hada) -> 하 (ha) -> 하 (ha) + 였어요 (yeoseoyo) = 했어요 (haesseoyo)
사다 (sada) = to buy
샀어요 (sasseoyo) = I bought, you bought, she bought, etc
오다 (oda) =to come
왔어요 (wasseoyo) = you came, she came, we came, he came, etc.
적다 (jeokda) = to write
적었어요 (jeogeosseoyo) = you wrote, he wrote, she wrote, etc.
하다 (hada) = to do
했어요 (hesseoyo) = he did, she did, you did, we did, etc.
here is more example present tense andvpast tense ^_^
먹다 (meokda) = to eat
먹어요 (meogeoyo) = you eat,we eat, etc.
먹었어요 (meogeosseoyo) = you ate, she ate, etc
잡다 (japda) = to catch
잡아요 (jabayo) = you catch, she catch, etc
잡았어요 (jabaseoyo) = yoy catced, she catched, etc
now you can change or conjugate a verbs into a past tens stem ^_^
