Korean Learn (Level 1 part 16) [present tense verb stem]

now we wanna change the korean verb into present tense verb stem

first if u see a verb at korean dictionary it would be like this
가다 (gada) = to go
먹다 (meokda) = to eat
자다 (jada) = to sleep
때리다 (ttaerida) = to hit
웃다 (utda) = to laugh

hm what you see in the dictionary verb tems??? recoqnizing something?

네, 맛아요 (ne, majayo)

all verb stem is ended with 다 (da) so when you look at your korean dictionary you will find 다 (da) and when you wanna chang it to present tense you must drop the 다 (da) so it will be
가다 (gada) = 가 (ga)
먹다 (meokda) = 먹 (meok)
자다 (jada) = 자 (ja) etc.

after you drop the da than you add the appropriate verb endings to make them complete the endings are
아요 (ayo)
어요 (eoyo)
여요 (yeoyo)

how to use it???
verb ending with last vowel ㅏ (a) or ㅗ (o) its followed by 아요 (ayo)
verb ending with last vowel not ㅏ (a) or ㅗ (o) its followed by 어요 (eoyo)
and for special verb stem 하 (ha) is followed by 여요 (yeoyo)

가다 (gada) - 다 (da) + 아요 (ayo) = 가아요 (ga ayo) but it would be 가요 (gayo)
먹다 (meokda) - 다 (da) + 어요 (eoyo) = 먹어요 (meok eoyo) read as 머거요 (meogeoyo)
hm now how about 보다 (boda) ????

네, 맞아요 (ne, majayo)
보다 (boda) - 다 (da) + 아요 (ayo) = 보아요 (bo ayo) but it would be 봐요 (bwayo)

than our special verb 하다 (hada)
하다 (hada) - 다 (da) + 여요 (yeoyo) = 하여요 (hayeoyo) but it would be 해요 (haeyo)

all of the changing are based on the most easy way to pronounced it ^_^

가다 (gada) = to go
먹다 (meokda) = to eat
보다 (boda) = to see
하다 (hada) = to do

than  the present tense are
가요 (gayo) = I go, you go, he goes, etc
먹어요 (meogeoyo) = I eat, you eat, she eat, etc.
봐요 (bwayo) = I see, I look, I watch, you look, etc.
해요 (haeyo) = I do, you do, he do, etc.

hm now you can say something u do in present tense ^_^ see you at part 17 ^_^
