we wanna learn about 안녕 하세요 (annyeong haseyo) and 감사압니다 (gamsahamnida)
안녕 하세요 (annyeong haseyo) means "hello"/"hi"/"how are you?"/"good afternoon"/"good evening"
안녕 (an-nyeong) + 하세요 (ha-se-yo) = 안녕하세요 (annyeong haseyo)
안녕 (annyeong) means well-being/ peace/ health
while 하세요 (haseyo) means you do/ do you?/ please do
안녕하세요 is the most common way of greeting someone and it in 존댓말 (jon-daet-mal) polite or formal terms.
if some one greet with 안녕하세요 than you just greet back with it too
example :
A : 안녕하세요 = hello
B : 안녕하세요 = hi
now 감사합니다 (gsamsahamnida), this word means thank you
감사 (gam-sa) + 합니다 (hap-ni-da) = 감사합니다 (gamsahamnida)
감사 (gam-sa) means apreciation/ thankfullnes/ gratitude
while 합니다 (hap-ni-da) means I do/ I'm doing
감사합니다 (gamsa hamnida) is the most commonly 존댓말 (jon-daet-mal) formal or polite way to say thank you
you just say 감사합니다 when you wanna say thank you
now you can say hello and thanks.....
감사합니다 (gam sa ham ni da) = thank you
and 안녕하세요 (annyeong) hai, hello etc
hope this helping and usefull 감사합니다
